The Friends of Silsden Park group is inviting local residents to take part in a ‘grand tree planting day’.
Volunteers are hoping to plant 250 saplings in the south west corner of the park, close to Mitchell Lane.
Bradford Council’s parks and green spaces department is providing the equipment, while the trees will come from the charity Trees for Cities in partnership with the council.
The Friends of Silsden Park says all ages are welcome to come along and help with the planting on Saturday 14th March between 10.30am and 12.30pm. Wellies and suitable clothing for the weather on the day are required!
