Silsden unbeaten in 7 after victory at Handsworth
Silsden AFC extended their unbeaten run to seven matches with a 1-0 league win at Handsworth FC.
Chris Wademan got the only goal of the game in Worksop on Tuesday evening, with a right-footed shot from 18 yards after being played in by Khurram Shazad after 36 minutes.
It’s a return to winning ways for Silsden after recent draws against Goole and Bridlington.
The victory, in front of a crowd of 109, moves the Cobbydalers back up to 10th in the NCEL Premier Division.
Next up, Silsden face Bridlington Town again – this time at the Cobbydale Construction Stadium – on Saturday afternoon.
